Community Liaisons

Each school has an assigned community liaison who provides services to RUSD students and families.  Liaisons help bridge  communication between the school and the families the school serves.  FRC Community Liaisons speak Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, and Korean. Services include:

  •  Residency verification
  • Attendance support
  • Services to homeless students
  • Counseling referrals
  • Basic needs - food banks, clothing, etc.
  • Medi-Cal forms and informaton
  • SSI information
  • Emergency card updates
  • Foster care support
  • Uniforms available for homeless and low incomes students
  • Connecting with parents
  • Low academic achievement concerns
  • Bus passes (for qualifying students)
  • Legal guardian verifications
  • Crisis support - home burned down, car accidents, deportation of family member, etc.
  • Student welfare issues - hygiene, basic need, etc.
  • Translations
  • Other needs determined by schools and FRC staff
