Our goal is simple:


The Family Resource Center is committed with compassion, dignity, and respect to empower families and care for students by offering connections to resources & resource partners through the use of early intervention programs.  All resources are intended to enrich the lives of families and students, and to help build self-confidence, giving families the opportunity to be themselves.

What's Going On?

Parent Project

This is a parenting class that is offered several times a year to teach parents necessary parenting skills.  The class meets court mandate and it is can either be conducted in English or Spanish.  This session will be in Spanish and the English session will be held in January 2015.  The class will be held at Hollingworth Elementary at 3003 E. Hollingworth St. West Covina 91792 on Tuesdays starting late September and will go from 5:30pm to 8:30pm.  If interested in complete details click here for English flyer and here for Spanish Flyer.

Mini-Classes SHAPE

The Rowland Unified School District is providing this 5 week evening program for parents and their sons or daughters in  4th, 5th, and 6th grade ages  9-12.  S.H.A.P.E. classes include interactive games, discussions, videos, and lectures  **A parent must attend together with the child in order to participate. Classes will be held at Yorbita Elementary Library from 5:00pm-7:00 pm on  Wednesday 11/12       “Parent Preview” Wednesday  11/19      “Your Healthy Body” Monday   11/24           “ Physical and Emotional Changes During   Puberty “ Wednesday 12/3          “Reproduction and Child Birth” Wednesday 12/10         “Looking Ahead;  My future” For more information and to reserve a place for you and your child please contact the Family Resource Center  at  (626) 854-2228.  Babysitting is provided for younger siblings.
